EXPERIENCE REPORT ON SAMPLE COLLECTION IN EXTRACURRICULAR INTERNSHIP IN HOSPITAL FOOD AND NUTRITION UNIT

The extracurricular internship in a hospital food and nutrition unit (UAN) provides nutrition students with the practical application of their theoretical knowledge. The study, carried out by three academics between June 2024 and January 2025, focused on collecting food samples, using strict procedures to avoid contamination. The samples were stored at -18 ºC for 72 hours, with no records of contamination. The experience reaffirms the importance of collecting samples to ensure food safety, in addition to being an opportunity for learning and developing professional and personal skills.
