REPORT ON EXTRACURRICULAR INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE IN A HOSPITAL FOOD AND NUTRITION UNIT

The extracurricular internship at a hospital Food and Nutrition Unit (UAN), carried out by four nutrition students between May 2024 and January 2025, allowed the practical application of theoretical knowledge. For 20 hours per week, the students carried out activities such as checking diets, measuring temperatures and assembling lunch boxes, learning about patient safety, good food handling practices and process management. The experience highlighted the importance of the internship in professional training and in developing skills for the job market.
