Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to analyze postpartum women's perceptions of the quality of healthcare, focusing on the Process dimension of Donabedian's quality assessment model. Methods: A quantitative, cross-sectional, and descriptive study was conducted with 128 postpartum women receiving care at a high-complexity public hospital in the Northern Region of Brazil between January and March 2026. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire consisting of closed-ended questions organized into thematic blocks. The internal consistency and reliability of the instrument were assessed using SPSS software by calculating Cronbach's alpha coefficient (α). User satisfaction with the healthcare services was evaluated using the Net Promoter Score (NPS) metric. Results: The results showed that the Process block achieved a Cronbach's alpha of 0.87, demonstrating high internal consistency and reliability of the instrument. Responses indicated positive evaluations regarding the care provided by the healthcare team, communication, and care management. However, aspects related to medication administration and dietary services received moderate evaluations, suggesting opportunities for improvement. The NPS was within the quality zone, although there remains room for advancement toward excellence. Conclusion: It was concluded that postpartum women perceived the care received as effective and humanized, reflecting the institution's quality of care and reinforcing the importance of continuous evaluation of user experience within Brazil's Unified Health System (SUS).
