Avaliação do Ângulo de Fase em indivíduos com Síndrome Pós-COVID-19

Objetivo: Este estudo caso-controle teve como objetivo investigar o ângulo de fase como um parâmetro de avaliação clínica em pacientes pós-COVID-19. Método: O estudo foi conduzido em um ambulatório de referência, incluindo indivíduos com Síndrome Pós-COVID-19 (n=100) e indivíduos sem a condição (grupo-controle; n=102). Resultados: O ângulo de fase foi significativamente menor no grupo-caso (p=0,032). No entanto, o ângulo de fase não apresentou diferença significativa em relação ao número de infecções, hospitalização, gravidade da doença ou número de sequelas. A perda de memória foi a sequela mais frequente (70%), porém nenhuma sequela apresentou relação com o ângulo de fase. O grupo-caso apresentou valores significativamente menores de ângulo de fase, ângulo de fase padronizado, massa celular corporal, massa magra e água corporal total em comparação aos controles. Foi observada uma correlação positiva significativa entre o ângulo de fase e a massa celular corporal, massa magra, água intracelular e água corporal total, além de uma correlação negativa significativa com massa extracelular (%), índice massa extracelular/massa celular corporal, massa gorda (%) e água extracelular (%). Conclusão: O ângulo de fase apresenta potencial como parâmetro complementar na avaliação de pacientes com Síndrome Pós-COVID-19, pois se correlaciona positivamente com indicadores de integridade celular e negativamente com marcadores de disfunção celular. No entanto, a ausência de correlação com parâmetros clínicos específicos da síndrome sugere que o ângulo de fase, isoladamente, pode não servir como marcador único para o diagnóstico dessa condição.
